The City of Mt. Angel is looking for Teen Summer Intern at Mt. Angel Public Library.  

Mt. Angel Public Library has an exciting opportunity for a high school student to participate in a paid Library Summer Internship. This internship invites a student to discover what they're interested in within the Library, design a project to complete through the course of their internship, and work with community partners both inside and outside of the library. (Project examples are available upon request.) The ideal candidate will have an interest in working in libraries, possess great interpersonal skills, demonstrate initiative, and be flexible, customer service focused, and team-oriented. To be considered the applicant must be a High School student at time of application who will be at least sixteen years old by June 15, 2023. Graduating seniors are eligible.

This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) June 15-Aug. 31, 2023 and pays $17.00 hourly. Apply by April 24, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Please see the City's website  for a full position description and information on how to apply. The City of Mt. Angel is an equal opportunity employer.

Last Day to Experience Soy SUPER Curios@/I'm SUPER Curious is Friday, April 7th!

 

Mt. Angel Public Library was SUPER honored to be chosen to host this travelling interactive & bilingual science exhibit. 

 

We loved seeing our patrons of all ages explore the mysteries of our planet, test their STEAM knowledge with a Quiz Game, and spark their curiosity at the Critter Cam Kiosk! Y'all visited the exhibit 565 times!

 

We have this amazing exhibit for one more week, and then it travels to its new host in Los Lunas, NM!

Oregon Blue Book:

Online Now, on the Shelf Soon

 

The 2023 Oregon Blue Book (an almanac & fact book) is here and headed to our shelf.  It is also available online through the State's website (they even have a trivia page for it).

 

The Oregon Blue Book is the state's official almanac and fact book. Published since 1911, it is produced by the Oregon State Archives, a division of the Secretary of State's Office. It contains listings and​ descriptions of government agencies and educational institutions. It also features an almanac, maps, facts about Oregon history and elections, as well as information on the arts, media, and other cultural institutions in Oregon. The print version of the Oregon Blue Book is published during odd-numbered years as required by ORS 177.120.
