All Ages: Join the Summer Reading Fun!

Summer Reading is for All Ages!

 

Pick up your reading log at the library and get a prize each week and entries into bigger weekly and grand prizes (for ALL ages, yep adults too)!

 

Reading lasts until August 31st.

 

We will have activities and fun for all ages all summer long through August 31st.

The library will stop by once per week with free books!

We have BookList Reader Magazine!

 

Funded by a Booklist Publications/Mellon Foundation grant, our library receives 25 free issues per month!

 

Published by Booklist, an imprint of the American Library Association, Booklist Reader features diverse book and audiobook recommendations, for readers and listeners of all ages. Filled with high-interest, themed lists that showcase books for your family or book discussion group.

Do you have any old/obsolete appliances or electronics you need to get rid of?

 

Consider donating them to the library this month: we've got a special project coming up and could use some old, easily portable (so not the old fridge) appliances to experiment with.

(Ages 8-13):

 

Learn how to play ukulele in a structured class setting! 

 

Starts Thursday, July 6th @ 3:00pm

 

Borrow one of our ukuleles or bring your own.

 

Pre-registration is required.

Alex Zerbe: Zaniac Comedy Show (All Ages):

 

With captivating amounts of energy, Alex Zerbe moves like a rubber band from one end of
the stage to the other.

 

Beatboxing, juggling, dancing, singing, music and magic are just a few of the things that led Piers Morgan of America’s Got Talent to call Alex, “The total
package.” The two-time Guinness World Record holder performs his 60-minute
show at St. Mary's Elementary School (590 E College St) on July 12th!

 

Bring chairs or blankets to sit on.

 

Water provided.

 

In inclement weather, the show will take place at the library.

All Ages Summer Fun (yep, adults too!)

 

Thursday, July 13 @ 12:00-3:00pm drop-in—S.T.R.E.A.M.M.

 

Come explore Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Math and Music at different activity stations.

 

Take apart a computer, build a pool noodle tower, explore microscopic worlds, learn how to play ukulele and more!

 

We promise, you won’t be bored!

Gather in person to participate in songs, activities and stories with a special guest reader, followed by Indoor Playtime (11:00-12:00). Come play with toys and spend time with friends.  All toys provided.
